Store Setup Walkthrough: Opening Hours, Branding, SEO, and Payments
1. Review the imported catalogue and published storefront 0:00
- Confirm the product import is complete:
- Products were added using the import template.
- Modifiers were configured.
- Images were uploaded.
- The storefront has been published.
- This sets the foundation before moving into store management and customer-facing settings.
2. Open Store Management and claim the store 0:32
- Go to Store Management.
- The store has already been claimed, so you can move directly into configuration.
- The walkthrough switches between the admin setup and the live storefront to show how changes affect the customer experience.
3. Set opening hours for delivery and pickup 0:46
- Navigate to Opening Hours.
- Configure delivery hours and pickup hours separately.
- These hours control whether customers can choose delivery or collection in the cart.
- If the store is outside the configured hours, the cart will show that online ordering is closed.
- In the demo, the hours are adjusted so the store becomes available again after saving and refreshing.
4. Enable delivery options and define delivery rules 1:51
- In the delivery settings, confirm the following are enabled:
- Delivery
- Pickup
- Tips
- Set the delivery radius so customers outside the allowed area are blocked or warned.
- Example shown: 15 km radius.
- Set the estimated time shown to customers.
- Example shown: 10–15 minutes.
- Configure distance tiers to calculate delivery fees:
- Example: 0–5 km = free
- Example: 5–15 km = 25
- These fees are added to the cart automatically.
5. Configure branding and SEO settings 2:58
- Add your primary logo so it appears at the top of the storefront.
- Set the favicon so the browser tab shows your brand icon.
- Choose your primary and secondary colors to match your brand.
- Example shown: orange primary color and black/gray secondary color.
- Adjust font settings if needed.
- Update SEO fields:
- Page title
- Meta description
- Keywords
- These settings help with branding, search visibility, and how the store appears in browsers and search results.
6. Set social sharing and homepage visuals 4:12
- Add a graph image so shared links display a branded preview image in apps like WhatsApp.
- Optionally add a hero image for the homepage banner.
- In the demo, the top orange banner would be replaced by this image.
- Review the headline and homepage text.
- The headline links to the Wigza-related page shown in the demo.
- Promotional banner settings are available but not covered in detail here.
7. Confirm currency and payment setup 5:18
- Leave currency and payments set to the correct local currency.
- Example shown: South African Rand (ZAR).
- Open payment provider credential details.
- This takes you to the branch settings where payment accounts are configured.
- Use a test account first to verify checkout behavior.
- Once testing is complete, switch to live mode for real payments.
