Import Templates For Wigza and Android App

The templates below can be used to quickly set up your Wigza or Android Point of Sale and Wigza Storefront.

Product Import Template

Use the Product Import Template to:

• Create products in bulk.
• Configure Android POS buttons and categories.
• Set up products for your Wigza online storefront.

Important: Products imported through the template are published immediately and become available on your storefront once the import is completed.

They also OVERRIDE existing buttons or store front

Modifier Import Template

Use the Modifier Import Template to:

• Create and manage product modifiers in bulk.
• Configure optional extras, add-ons, sizes, and customizations for storefront products.
• Assign modifiers to products available on your online ordering store.

This is the same modifier import format used by the Food Ordering platform available at food.wigza.co.za.

• No Onion

Using the Modifier Import Template allows you to quickly configure large numbers of modifiers without manually creating them one at a time.

For best results, import your products first, then import and assign modifiers to the relevant products.

How to Import Product and Modifier Templates

1. Open the Import Area in Products 0:00

• The goal is to import templates for products and modifiers.
• Go to Products.
• Use either:
  • the Import option at the top, or
  • the Import button.
• This opens the upload area for importing files.

2. Get the Import Template Files 0:23

• There are two ways to get the import files:
  • Training site: go to the online training setup for the Wigza store and download the import templates there.
  • Bot: ask the bot for “import templates for products and modifiers”.
• Download the template file before importing it into the system.

3. Review the Product Import Template 1:12

• The product template contains the items that will appear in the food demo.
• Key fields in the spreadsheet include:
  • Units
  • Cost price
  • Selling price
  • Barcodes
  • Item codes
• It is a good idea to add unique item codes for each product.
• Best practice:
  • create all products first,
  • then assign unique entry codes afterward.

4. Add Product Grouping and Reporting Fields 1:46

• For reporting, especially with hot drinks and food items, fill in the grouping fields:
  • Category
  • Major
  • Minor
  • Department
  • Espressos
• These fields control how products are grouped in the food demo.
• Example categories shown in the demo include:
  • burgers
  • pizza
  • food

5. Understand Supplier, Stock, and Description Fields 2:24

• The template also includes:
  • Supplier — created by default
  • Stock on hand — in this example, no quantity adjustments are being done yet
  • Descriptions
• The focus at this stage is just getting the products imported successfully.

6. Review the Modifier Import Template 2:44

• The modifier import is more detailed, but it is still tied to the product itself.
• Important rule:
  • the system matches on product name first
  • if the name does not match, a new product may be created
• Make sure product names are consistent before importing modifiers.

7. Set Up Modifier Groups and Selection Rules 3:08

• The modifier template includes:
  • Modifier group
  • Price options
  • Single select / multi-select settings
• Example:
  • Pizza base is single select and required, so the customer must choose one option like pan or thin base.
  • Cheese is multi-select and optional, so multiple choices can be selected.

8. Configure Sizes, Base Prices, and Extra Prices 3:38

• Modifiers can also represent product components and size-based pricing.
• The template includes:
  • Sizes for descriptions and POS display
  • Base retail price for the modifier
  • Additional price columns for larger sizes and extras
• Example pricing flow:
  • 18 cm = base price
  • 23 cm = higher price
  • 30 cm = highest price
• Extras also have their own default and modifier prices.

9. See the Modifier Setup in the POS View 4:24

• In the pizza example, the POS shows:
  • different sizes
  • the selected base
  • the selected extras
• When switching between size or modifier options, the displayed price updates automatically.
• This confirms the import worked correctly and the pricing logic is functioning.
