How do I reconnect the Bizzfo POS to the server when it has disconnected or shows a database/connection error?

Updated 12 June 2026

When a POS, till, or workstation loses its connection to the server (which can also cause kitchen printing issues, a ‘cannot connect to database’ error, an ‘Account renewal due’ error, or the wrong branch database loading), follow these steps to reconnect:

  1. Close Bizzfo: right-click the taskbar and open Task Manager.
  2. Find Bizzfo Point Of Sale in the list, select it, and click End Task.
  3. Reopen Bizzfo and click the Connection tab.
  4. Select Find My Server.
  5. When the IP address screen appears, click OK.
  6. Click Log On.

This also resolves issues such as:

  • The ‘Account renewal due – renewal check-44’ error.
  • Loss of access to the Accelerate module after a PC has been repaired or re-imaged.
  • A till showing as not connected, or a workstation loading the wrong branch database.

If the workstation still cannot connect after finding the server, ensure that your network or firewall allows traffic on Port 3050 (inbound and outbound, for the Domain, Private, and Public profiles). If the issue persists, ensure that your POS software is up to date, or reinstall the latest version (32-bit or 64-bit) from the Bizzfo website. Also clear any stuck printer jobs from Windows before relinking.
